Students start at Level I by taking their FREE week of training and enrolling in a CNY MMA program.
Most students, participating in classes at least 2 times per week, will be able to achieve their Level II Certification in approximately 2-3 months. This is a technique based certification. Knowing and demonstrating specific techniques on a passive partner are sufficient for achieving Level II.
Most students, participating in classes at least 2 times per week, will be able to achieve their Level III Certification approximately 2-3 months after receiving their Level II Certification.
Participating in classes at least 2 times per week, will be able to achieve their Level IV Certification approximately 2-3 months after receiving their Level III Certification.
Participating in classes at least 2 times per week, will be able to achieve their Level V Certification approximately 2-3 months after receiving their Level IV Certification.
Participating in classes at least 2 times per week, will be able to achieve their Level VI Certification approximately 3-4 months after receiving their Level V Certification.
Participating in classes at least 2 times per week, will be able to achieve their Level VII Certification approximately 3-4 months after receiving their Level VI Certification.
After receiving Level VII Certification, students that maintain their 2 time per week training schedule, should be able to achieve their Level VIII Certification 6-8 months later. This is a technique and application based certification. Students must not only know specific techniques but also be able to apply certain techniques with a resistant partner.
Although there are technique requirements, this level is more of an application-based certification. Students must be able to apply certain techniques with a resistant partner during sparring, grappling, and drilling. Achieving this level allows students to assistant teach instructional classes at CNY MMA and supervise training sessions for beginners. Most students can expect to be ready for this level 8-12 months after receiving Level VIII Certification.
Students testing for this level must be able to demonstrate, apply, and teach certain techniques with a resistant partner during sparring, grappling, and drilling. Students obtaining their Assistant Coach Level II Certification will be able to lead instructional classes at CNY MMA. Most students can expect to be ready for this level 6-8 months after receiving Assistant Coach Level I Certification.
At this level, students must not only be able apply certain techniques with a resistant partner during sparring, grappling, and drilling but also demonstrate their ability to teach intermediate level techniques. Most students can expect to be ready for this level 6-8 months after receiving Assistant Coach Level II Certification.
To obtain Instructor Certification students must demonstrate advanced understanding and application of the techniques in the CNY MMA curriculum. They must show proficiency in all areas including defense and offense for kicking, punching, and grappling. Students should be ready for this level 10-18 months after completing their Assistant Instructor Certification. To maintain a valid Instructor credential from CNY MMA, Instructors must renew their Certification every year via written letter or by continued training at CNY MMA.
